What can I do with spring bulbs in pots and window boxes, need pots for other blowers? Could I leave the bulbs in and plant bedding on top?

Thank you.

E Diver

Let the foliage on the bulbs die back naturally and feed with half strength liquid tomato feed until it does. Then plant your bedding plants on top of the bulbs, it won't bother them at all.

I have taken all mine up, and replanted in fresh Gerbil
recycled compost in layers in a large planter ready for next spring , as Carol suggested on Beechgrove Garden for a mixed on going display. Sprinkled some blood, fish and bone to keep them sweet, the foliage is all dying down naturally. I put 3 Cabbage plants on top.

My sweet Carrots, Purple Spring Onions, Water Cress,
and Salad Leaves are coming on nicely on my balcony.
Just space for two Tomato plants when these gaps in the Atlantic clouds cease to threaten us with early morning frosts.

p.s. forgot when I did that. Of all the bulbs I bought last autumn I found Narcissus 'Baby Moon' the longest flowering
in the greenhouse. Five weeks. Is now in the planter
with all the others for next year.

How do I say thanks?
