I have three cordon redcurrants which have borne heavily for about five years. They have all set well but the end one is now clearly dying and one or two branches on the others appear to be going the same way. Is this because They are still fruiting on the old wood, ie would training in new growth cure the problem before its too late? Or any other suggestions please.

Hi Sue, sorry you haven't had any replies yet, and sorry I can't help you, as I've never grown them, I hope youget some replies soon, Derek.

Don't expect too now Derek. I'll just dig it up and hope the others don't catch whatever it is. Will take some cuttings in the autumn though as insurance. Thanks for the sympathy - much appreciated!
