It's a phormium

Hi, I agree with Andrew, Phormium, if I were to hazard a guess, it would probably be Phormium tenax 'Veitchianum' which has creamy white stripes, rather than the creamy yellow stripes of P tenax variegatum, Derek.

Hi that is a coincidence, maybe it was named by 1 of your ancestors, you never know, Derek.

Hi, just been trying to find out who named this, have a look at this website, see if you recognize any names,
a very interesting read, especially as you're in london, Derek.

Thanks for the info Derek, I had a quick flick through, it was most interesting.
In fact one of my Dads ancestors was a Horturculturist so you never know, our Crest is Three Bulls Heads so sounds like we may of been Rustlers as well LOL, I know we came from the boarders of Scotland but being my Dad died years ago I can't ask any questions, I'll have to ask my cousin as she looked up our family tree but not sure how far she went back in time.
Thanks again Jacqueline Denice Townsend ne Veitch xx LOL
