my pampus grass as just started to flower after 4yrs,i asked a question about it on this site recently 9/10/ 2015.I received very good advice from all who responded,in the spring what would be the best plant food to feed it on please.

Ah, jolly good, just a late flowerer then - mine never flowered till end of October either, but some do in September.

Unless its in a pot (which I don't think it is) you don't need to feed it anything at all, it'll be just fine as it is. If you're desperate to feed it, sprinkle a couple of handfuls of Growmore around the base in spring, after you've cut it back, and rake it in to the soil, but it doesn't really need it.

I agree with Bamboo, you don't need to feed it. Around here it grows freely, and flowers all summer, at the beach and sand dunes. The Piping Plovers love to nest in it. Too much nitrogen based fertilizer will retard flowering.

How do I say thanks?
