can banksia trees grow in ireland?

Not sure that they would be frost hardy.......

Most won't like the wet soil, but you could try Banksia integrifolia, preferably in a well drained spot - once established, that one will tolerate a fair amount of frost and doesn't mind salt laden winds either.

Banksia marginata might be worth a shot as well. Needs well drained soil though.
