I have a Salix Nishiki which is planted in a terracotta pot. It is only a small shrub, not a tree or a standard. It has not been doing too well and I was recommended to re-pot it in a larger pot. I have a much larger pot which I propose to use. What sort of soil or compost should I plant it inn to give it its best opportunity? What other tips do you have?

On plant Salix

I would use a peat free organic multipurpose compost with some 6mm grit added to improve the drainage. Remember that Nishiki needs its soil to be kept moist but not over wet.

How do I say thanks?
