Planted Allium bulbs fall of 2013. They came up in spring of 2014 and bloomed beautifully. Spring of 2015 they came up but leaves turned yellow, wilted and died. Plants never bloomed. Same story this spring. I just dug up the bulbs and they appear healthy. We live in the sand so the drainage is good.

What part of the USA do you garden in, Sandburr? If it is in USDA zone 9 or warmer, it may not get cold enough in the winter to form flower buds. Alternatively, the bulbs may not have been planted deeply enough. With shallow planting, the bulb will bloom the first spring after planting, but it will then spend all of its energy over the next 3-4 years working itself deeper before it blooms again.

If your soil is very sandy perhaps you should feed them before the foliage dies back.

It is normal for the leaves to die back as the flowers show. I think Tugbrethil is probably right.
