What compost do I use to plant a wisteria in a large pot please
Thank u

John Innes No. 3, but I wouldn't recommend growing Wisteria in a pot unless it's a very large pot indeed.

It can be grown as a container plant, but will need regular pruning and training, restricting it to one main stem, with support, so it forms a good solid trunk. However, you shouldn't put it into a pot that's much, much larger than the rootball initially - you need a pot that's no bigger than 3 times the size of the rootball, then pot it on next year and the year after until its in a very large pot. John Innes No. 3, as Rosierose says, is the best compost to use.
