I have hundreds of geraniums from which I take cuttings there is a predominance of red quite a number of white and a few pink. This year they are blooming but they are all pinky white. Why?

Not sure. All I know is, my Candy Stripe Ivy Leaf geranium, originally white with a bright pink trim round each petal, produced all pink flowers the following year and has done so ever since (its survived outside for 6 years). Which presumably means, if I'd taken cuttings of that in the first year, they also would have been pink the following year. It's not supposed to happen, but it does, sometimes, usually a genetic blip, although quite why all of yours are now pinky white does seem extraordinary.

How do I say thanks?
