I have just been given a Transvaal Daisy, I do not know much about this plant, he said it was hardy but it seams to be dying back at the moment do I cut it back now and wait till next year? and what are the other names for it?

Gerbera is another name for it. Usually easy to take care of but I've had a couple of the outside type and they don't seem to last more than a couple of years. Try the website

Thank you for the information .

Hi, whoever told you that Gerbera was hardy, is wrong, this is a genus of about 40 species, which vary between half hardy and frost tender, so if you have a half hardy species, and a very mild winter, you MAY be able to keep them overwinter, but you would lose them in a normal winter, Derek.

How do I say thanks?
