Just turning the diary pages to next week I see I have written on Monday 13th 'Shake branches of plum and greengage mid afternoon as advised on GoY'. I'm not sure when I saw this advice but I shall do it anyway - might there be a reason?

i suspect this will dislodge any unset fruit flowers so that they drop off. Also any fruit set that isn't 100% secure will drop off too.

cant see any other reason. though the plant may still abort several fruits come June [known as June drop and a natural process].

Sorry for the late Thank You - hopefully I'll get more fruit this year after the shaking.

How do I say thanks?
