Bracken from a neighbours garden is growing along our old and rather unpleasant conifer hedge. The entire hedge needs replacing but as it is 25 yards long its out of the question. Honeysuckle and brambles have colonised it in places, which is an improvement here and there but we do need to get rid of the bracken. Any ideas how we might do it please?

Oh, nightmare, I never managed to eradicate it in a garden I used to care for. RHS link to information about bracken and how to deal with it below, but you are restricted to contact herbicides only if you want to take that route, otherwise, you will kill your other plants.

What a merry jape that will be. I will add it to my list of potential death dealing. I was afraid that would be the answer. There's an awful lot of it.

First on the list for death dealing though is a young ash tree growing in the middle of a fuchsia, not to mention a very weedy block paved drive, and another ash in a Potentilla fruticosa.. I was given a Covid mask today so perhaps this will be a good time to try it out! Thank you for the link.
Two years poor health have really taken their toll on the poor garden...
