France Fr

I am in France and have 3 glorious clerodendrum trees 2 of which I dug up from the parent tree (growing as a teeny plant underneath). There are no more babies so how can I start another tree? Can I take cuttings or can I plant the little autumnal berries?

On plant Clerodendrum trichotomum

You might get more suckers in spring which you can separate and pot up, but otherwise, 'sow seed in spring' my book says - without any more info than that.

You can root softwood cuttings too. Admittedly, we did it with C.ugandense, and had no luck without bottom heat. May or may not be necessary with C.trichotomum, as this is a very hardy plant.

How do I say thanks?
