I live in Angus, Scotland. I have many tomato plants and the tomatoes are still green. Do I pick them now and bring in before the weather turns cold or leave them until they go red. Also as there are so many please can you advise about ripening.

Either pick them and put them in paper bags or a drawer with a ripe banana, which gives off a gas called 'Ethylene' and ripens the tomatoes, or you could pull up plants and hang them upside down in a shed or the greenhouse. This second idea is a Bob Flowerdew trick, which he says works!
