Hosta uncertainty.
This plant was among a selection received from a dealer recently. They identified it as 'Joyce' but Google lists this name as only a two word description, such as 'Paradise Joyce' and 'Joyce Trott'. The leaf of these varieties doesn't look like the one I have. I hope the photograph of my plant will enable someone to unravel the mystery for me.

Sorry bernanrd I cant help. It is a nice one though.

just googled hosta photo's but there are so many look-alike's it's not easy to accurately identify. I have an identicle hosta to your's in my garden but it was given to me years ago as a root so no name.

It could be Hosta "June", rather than Joyce. Googling the name, and viewing images, is no real help, however, as "June" alone has so many colour variations.

I've been in touch with the supplier and he tells me that the full name is Joyce Trott, so you can now put a name to yours, Bampy. I think its a bit confusing and frustrating though that there can be so many colour and pattern variations within the same variety. I also have two different varieties that are so similar i'd defy anyone to tell them apart. I'm tempted to call all my plants Hosta and have done with it!

Glad that you got your name!!! Yes, hostas seem to be particularly bad with regard to naming/identifying, and so many different named varieties look identical!!!! I am a great "fan" of variwety names, though, and find them fascinating (very sad, I know!). :-)
