I bought a Perovskia "Blue Spire" from my local B&Q Garden Centre's reduced section, which has finished flowering and been pruned back.

It has new shoots on it. Should they be pruned back, or left to die off as winter approaches?

I take it that it is a perennial?

Also, should I put it in the ground or leave it in its pot until Spring?

Any advice greatly recieved. Thanks

Don't prune it any more if it has been cut back. Plant it in a sunny spot anytime now as long as the ground isn't frozen or waterlogged. It will flower next year. It looks good next to autumn flowering Rudbeckia 'Goldsturm'.

Oooh yes, I would imagine it would look great next to something yellow! Agree with Volunteer!
