Overwintering tigridia pavonia?

By Acam

United Kingdom Gb

Hi all
I've just recived some corms today (i dont remember ordering them, but must be gardeners amnesia!)
It is so snowy and cold, I have no idea what to do with them until we are frost free.
Can someone help me out?
thanks in advance

On plant Tigridia pavonia

Just keep them in a cool frost free place until you're ready for planting them. My bulbs are in my unheated porch and will remain there until March at least.

You could ,if you are a bit impatient!!, plant them in a box of shallow compost in a frost free place and see what happens.

Don't keep them in a plastic bag or they'll rot. Store them in slightly damp old compost until it's time to plant them properly. They are not hardy in the UK so you will need to dig them up or move the pots indoors in autumn.

How do I say thanks?
