do they come potted to direct into pond?



sometimes they do but in to small a pot so id repot them anyway can buy bigger lilly baskets,aqua soil and gravel to keep the dirt in and the pot down from most suppliers though

I dont usually bother with the soil as i find they have enough nutrients from the water. It is a mature pond with lots of fish etc though. I 'tie' them into the pot using fishing line as it becomes invisible once in the watre and then fill with gravel to weight them down.

your not wrong seaburn i just thaught id say the recomended way . ive just tied the lilly to a stone before infact if your pond is shallow they can become a paine growing to much like lots of plants you buy for your pond.
