Hello Gardeners,
I have bought a plant called Linaria Purpurea which I believe is good for garden wildlife. It looks like an upright plant but all around the edges of the pot the upright spikes have fallen. I wouldnt say they've droope. Just dropped from an upright look although they still seem healthy and alive. the plant is well watered. I would like to plant it now but I dont know whether to chop these edges off the plant or whether that would expose it to frost. Can anybody advise please? Thanks'

I wouldn't remove them plant the whole thing into the ground.

As Moon Growe suggests but before you plant, tip it out onto a sheet and check for vine weevil grubs. There is so much of it about at the moment that any time a potted plant doesn't seem to be doing as well as it should be, I check, and 2 out of 3 it has vine weevil eating away at the roots! You can feed the grubs to the birds and drench pots with vine weevil killer from your local garden centre.
