Cordyline Red Sensation leaves have gone green

I planted 6 Cordyline Sensation plants about 3 months ago. Two of them are growing well and the other four aren't. They keep growing shoots from under the ground and the plant is going out and not up. The leaves have gone a greenish colour and are very dry. The nursery told me to keep pulling the new shoots out from the ground so that they wouldn't take all the goodness from the rest of the plant. Nothing has changed and the new shoots just keep on coming and are really hard to get out. The two good ones are really tall and upright and don't have those shoots from underneath. The others are flat. I'm wondering if I planted them too deep into the ground. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Kym did you plant them deeper than they were planted in the pots? If so them you may need to remove a little of the soil.

They take time to grow tall about 6-7 yrs . I planted one in the garden and it had 7 side shoots or babies and i left them it looks amazine now like an oasis and there are slower to grow but after 3 years are a good 8ft.
As for the colour the red ones always revert to muddy brown then green after a while .
