Hi all,

Please can you identify? The first I have found in various locations in garden growing with hedges/shrubs etc. The second is in a bed of lillies and havent seen it before (I think!)

The flower looks like a periwinkle, lovely flowers, you'll have a lot of them soon : )

The second is a seed pod of Winter aconites, Eranthis hyemalis. If you want more of them then as soon as pods can be split, take the seeds, even if they are still white or green and sow them straight away. Keep moist until Spring. Or just scatter them around the parent plant.
The top flower looks like a large version of Vinca major.

The first one looked quite different from the periwinkles that I am familiar with, so I looked it up.
Vinca major subspecies hirsuta, I think.

How do I say thanks?
