I seem not to have said THANKS to those who answered my query regarding Leek Moth problems.

We have a Leylandi style hedge, approx 25 feet in length by 6' high, which has been with us for some years now. Regularly clipped and trimmed. Last year part of it started to die off. This year another large area is doing likewise. The greenery has dissapeared and only the brown 'dead' twigs and branches are left. Can anyone tell me why this has happened and is there a cure? Or will this spread to the remainder of the hedge?

It sounds like the disease that is killing off conifers in lots of places. I don't think there is a cure but maybe someone else will have better news for you.
