Worms are really very important - they pull organic matter down into the soil and their tunnelling aeriates the soil. If they are leaving 'casts' on the lawn this may be because your soil is too wet - spreading sharp sand over the lawn might help. Otherwise, wait until the casts are dry and brush them off with a stiff broom.

worms can be many things to many people...if you are trying to eradicate earth worms... I agree with Wyeboy and Sid. Don't do it your soil will become a dead mess.
If you are referring to grubs (larva of various beetles) there are spray-on grub killers... but I happen to believe that the best thing you could do is make birdhouses.... get the agents of nature to work on your problem instead of Monsanto. You'll be healthier for it.

Every year the worms under my lawn produce casts that are close to fist size. My neighbours have lovely lawns and no worm casts. I am at wits end as to what to do. They ruin my lawn every year. Anybody out there with suitable advice?
I know that 'worm killer' is no longer available but how do I get my lawn back to normal? Those awful brown patches all over the lawn are depressing. HELP!
