I have got Cupressus sempervirens "Totem". It is already 180 cm high, but still in a very small container (diameter is around 30 cm). For the first winter I would like to keep it inside, however, I would like to re-plant it into bigger pot. I absolutely do not know what kind of soil is good for it. Does anybody have experience with it?

They're not that fussy about soil conditions, Katarina - I'd use John Innes No. 2 or 3, but to lighten it up because you need to move it around, mix that and multi purpose potting compost. Note that John Innes potting compost is loam based, if they don't sell JI where you are.

Hi Bamboo,

I just googled what is John Innes compost (lol, I have never heard about it :)), so I made notes of the No 2 and 3 compositions and I will prepare that myself from loam, peat and sand. Thank you very much for your valuable advice.
Have a nice day.
