Going to the Chelsae flower show on 26th for the first time and am really looking forward to it. Any tips.

sensible footwear, strong bags and if they have a plant creche its worth a couple of quid to leave your hands free for more shopping :o)
I also take a wish list as I am less likely to buy 'on impulse' [believe that if you can!] never been to chelsea though but this works for some of the other ones for me.

I also take cartons of juice that can be thrown away when empry or if you have to bring rubbish home at least they squash down. Also take dried fruit as a snack as the food halls can cost an arm and a leg.

I did not think that you could actually buy stuff at Chelsea. You can place orders with the traders but not bring plants home. This certainly applies to the main show hall, there may be a separate plant village outside but I have not been to Chelsea either.

perhaps you are right BA, I thought there were plant sales too. certainly they sell plants off at the end of the show.

I went 3 years ago,and I don't recall plants for sale, but you can buy seeds and other gardening related products, from specialist stalls. We didn't find the food halls were as expensive as we imagined, depends what you want, but for a sandwich, etc, its not too bad..I agree with the comfy footwear though.I bought some Delphinium seeds, and well pleased with them..Enjoy it, Rossie, its a lovely day out :o)

Thank you for all your advice, will let you know how it goes. I am going on 27th not 26th as I stated.
I now see quite a number of shrubs I thought were dead in my garden begining to sprout, so hopefully not as much damage done by frost as I thought.
