Just a few snaps . . .

. . . to keep you in the picture!

This is part of the pink’n’purple bed with Salvia ‘love and wishes’, Salvia viridis ‘pink sundae’, Penstemon ‘apple blossom’ and Penstemon ‘Frederick Hahn’ which is proving easy from cuttings.

Copper beech tree in pot next to Geranium ‘dusky rose’, Cosmos ‘xanthos’ and Cosmos ‘purity’ which has grown taller than expected!

My favourite Osteospermum (white with purple centre), with purple Nemesia, Penstemon ‘crème brulee’, and Anemone ‘wild swan’ somewhere in the middle!

Loropetalum – which may have to come in to the greenhouse if we have a very cold winter

View of my cobbles-and-grasses bed from the corner bench, taken with a shaky hand :)

Very attractive plant grouping, Sheila.... also the grasses look great in the cobbles.... Was thinking about buying a Loropetulam... Is it very sensitive to cold?

Thanks Julia. Loropetulam is not fully hardy . . . it probably depends where you live, and if you have a sheltered corner.

Your Loropetulam is very colorful & that copper beach is a stand out. What great color you have in your garden.

Love your plantings Sheila. I bought a pot of Cosmos ‘purity’ for some late brighness in my white garden, and is super.

Your garden is really coming along. Hard to see that it is so new.

Thanks Jen - I must admit to be pleasantly surprised at how quickly the beds have filled out :)

Oh Sheila, isn't your garden looking great in such a short time? Well, it seems like yesterday you were having fun choosing plants! I do like the cobbled area with the grasses.

Lovely photos Sheila. Your garden looks wonderful. I envy your copper beech in the pot ! :)

Thank you so much Shirley . . . yes, I have been having fun, and still am!

Thanks very much Hywel . . . the copper beech was on the 'rescue' bench at a local nursery, priced at £3.99. Without the space to let it grow to its full height, it has to stay in the pot, and be regularly pruned. You could give it a try if you fancy it?! :)

Thanks Sheila. Great that you rescued the tree. It looks lovely. I have an oak tree in a pot and it looks very nice. I found it on the road one day just as if someone had thrown it there, so I 'rescued' it. I haven't pruned it yet. It doesn't seem to grow much. I may try a copper beech also. I like things in pots.
