Spring flowers

I’m sorry that I’m so careless with my camera. I find it difficult to see exactly what I am taking, and don’t notice if the sun has gone in just after I’ve dashed outside to take photos in the sunshine!

Anyway – just a quick glance for you -

Prunus Kojo-no-mai

White Anemone Blanda

Primrose, or Primula?

After cutting back Osteospermums, these Hyacinths were revealed … really pale yellow

Pulmonaria Blue Ensign (why does it look pale when its neighbour, top left, shows the true bright colour?!)

Ipheion, blue with one white

I really will try to do better next time. Happy gardening everyone!

These are very dainty and pretty plants you have, Sheila. Subtle.

Lovely photo's Sheila, pretty spring colours, its a joy to meander around ones garden seeing what else has emerged..
. I don't think you are careless at all, I know what you mean though, I take plenty and then sort out the best ones when I have downloaded, in my defence my left eye is bad so often what looks okay at the time of taking the shot can often be blurred, thank ggoodness for digital....
I have Pulmonaria here, like you they are different shades , I put it down to the fact some are planted in the shadier part of my garden, however yours are neighbours so that probably discounts tat fact, lol........

Thanks very much for your tact Ange, Julia and Sue 🙂.
Sue, there are three Pulmonaria Blue Ensign all together and all a lovely bright blue, so it must have been my shaky hand that changed the colour slightly.

Sheila, I'm not reknowned for tact, but I try to be honest and I like your plants, while the photos aren't bad at all. Could one of your paler pulmonarias be a seedling cross?

Sheila these are lovely photos, very enjoyable to see.

On my blog, Shirley has explained the difference between primula and polyanthus which will answer your question.

We have just 3 pale lemon hyacinths and I love the colour of them.

You do your pics an injustice. I think most of us are getting declining eyesight with age. Keep on posting.

I enjoy seeing your garden, Sheila. I love the Prunus & the Anenome blanda. I put in more A. blandas for this year but I have awful problems with the squirrels digging everything up. I wish they would dig elsewhere. I have had to put nets over things just to give them a chance to get started & that looks messy. They don't dig between the plants either but go for the side of the roots. What are they after? :-(

Sheila, you’ve captured your plants and flowers well, all looking very pretty and you’ve a lot of bright, colourful spring blooms.
Your prunus is a lovely shape, looks like a really pretty feature. You’ll have some pleasant scent from your hyacinths too!

I must aologise for putting some info. meant for yourself re. Primrose/Primula differences on the latest blog by Chris (Wildrose). Thank goodness she's spotted my mistake . . .
