Never enough room

By simbad

Well going on holiday in a couple of weeks, so daughters have got to look after my plants aarrgh, trying to get as much planted as I can so they don’t have so much to water, but as usual I’ve grown far too many plants:-) here’s a few of the things I’m growing this year.

Mixed campanula varieties all over 3ft, can’t wait to see which varieties I get, this was just a pinch of the seeds (three trays full) tiny fiddly seedlings but growing well now.

Lillium Michauxii, quite excited about growing these from seed, perfect spot for these, like a bit of shade, although don’t know how long they’ll take to flower, if anyone knows please let me know.

Corydalis ‘Bronze beauty’ another shade lover for the wood

Salvia ‘Patens’ Grow these every year, sometimes previous years come through but can’t rely on them and love the colour, can never have too many :-)

Gaura ‘The bride’ already have some in the garden but wanted more :-)

Sweet peas for allotment(mixed colours)

Galega, glad I saved some seed for these as ones in the garden have died.

Pancratium maritimum(sea daffodil) probably spelt that wrong, seed for these sent from a GOY member from abroad, every seed has germinated.

Ashphodeline lutea, thanks to a GOY member

Delphinium ‘Astolot’ a lovely pink variety

Leonotis ‘Staircase’ looks a bit like a nettle now but in summer will be glorious , supposed to be half hardy but never survives winter here.

Felicia Filifolia excited about this one too, swapped seed on another swapshop, small south african shrub related to aster, this one has mauve flowers

Dahlia ‘Bishops Children’ oh dear around 30 of these, some can go on allotment for cutting, didn’t notice that bud must go pinch that off, lol.

Blessed Mary Thistle, seed sent by a very kind Goy member, these are already planted out as grew really quickly.

And last but not least two varieties of tomato.
Well must get back outside now loads to pot on, and then there’s the allotment………..

Can I borrow your daughters fr when we go away?
I know the feeling all too well. It is a worry especially with the weather being so variable.

Thanks everyone, I could rent them out couldn't I (daughters), lol.
Have to try that Lincslass, no pressy if any plants die, lol, although more worried about them forgetting to feed the dog and cat, don't think Fudge'll let them forget though, lol, can see I'll have to leave a long list.
First holiday on our own for over 20 years, quite looking forward to it although it'll be strange, just have to hope the volcano doesn't erupt again.

Hi Kathy. Lots of nurturing has been going on, quite hard work but well worth it. I've got your bug now, in fact, just spent almost £50 at Plant World.

Lol Dawn they do have some fab seeds don't they, I know I go through adding to 'my basket' then get to the end see the price and think now what can I remove, lol.

I know what you mean. I've emailed them for advice and Ray is really good. If you buy 2 of one kind, you do get one free. I blame you Kathy for introducing me to such an amazing company but the most important thing, as you said, the seeds actually grow.
