Spoonbills returning to nest, NETHERLANDS 2012

Looking through my photos of Keukenhof Holland, I came across these of a colony of Spoonbills, which were nesting in the trees next to the hotel where we were staying.
Drove to the entrance to the hotel, where masses of “twitchers” were looking up into the trees.
Unexpected and splendid end to the day.
