Sunshine, rain, and late comers to the party.

We’ve had some much needed rain but of course it insists on bringing wind with it which no sensible soul needs.

The sun has shone too though so here’s a mix.

Purple and white seems to be this year’s colour, wish I could say I’d planned that, but I’m happy either way.

I bought extra Honeylily bulbs this year and the bees are almost outnumbering the birds, they are lovin’ it and I have them all right in front of our window for a good close up view.

The colours of these Dutch Iris have been stunning this year.

This Camassia should have flowered by now, but there’s no hurry, that’s for sure, it’s a first timer so I’m excited to see how it looks.

Blue is often a good early summer colour and yours look beautiful. That lupin is gorgeous.
I also have lots of the honeylily it has had a name change again. it is now Allium siculum easier to spell than Nectaroscordum ;o)

your garden is looking lovely.

Lots of gorgeous purple jewelled tones, Sunnydais. Your garden looks very pretty, especially those vivid lupins!

Thank you both! It's the only pot of lupins I have this year, normally have two or three but never got to buy any this Spring so it makes them extra special. I'm not sure how old they are but a couple of years at least.

Seaburngirl, Honeylily is easier to spell and say - ha-ha!

Well planned or not those purples are spectacular! Have you noticed more bees this year? Our catmint is full of them too.

It all looks lovely Sunny, doesn't matter whether you planned it or not its a delightful sight to look out onto, my Iris have all been very good for me, I think they liked our autumn/winter months, in fact I guess everything did except us....I didn't know we'd had another name change, wish they would stop doing that it confuses me, never have known them as Honeylilies although I agree about the spelling and also the pronunciation, I always got it wrong, lol, I have lots of bees appreciating mine as well....
