A wander round a pretty village.

Lee is a small but very pretty village not far from Ilfracombe but a world apart in many ways!
The village leads to Lee Sands on the coast which is also very appealing.
Take a look!

In this part of Devon there were a large number of fuschia hedges.

It was quite misty by the coast and wasn’t too busy – what a relief!!!

A very pretty place, I remember going there several years ago, and we saw those Fuchsia hedges, There were lots of them.

What a pretty, chocolate box village, Chris! Gorgeous gardens filled with vivid colour. Love the quaint church and cottages too. That fuchsia hedge is very attractive, I wouldn’t have considered using fuchsia for hedging. Love the coastal scene too. Hope you enjoyed a lovely day out!

Wow - walking round there must be like a rest cure! A lovely place, and the promise of the seaside after - what's not to like?

we went on holiday to Ilfracombe BC [before children] on the motor bike and we found Lee on a day out. the beach was beautiful and there was a clear blue sky and I got badly sunburnt. I love off the beaten track Devon and Cornwall away from all the tourists. A bit cheeky as we were also tourists.

Thank you everyone, it certainly was a very peaceful way to spend the day. Passing through Woolacombe and Croyde Bay on the way home it was heaving with people and was SO busy!!
Meadowland it is about 20 miles away from Lynmouth and might take about 40 minutes to get there.
I remember on a trip to Ireland there were fuschia hedges everywhere and I haven't seen them over here since.

Wow Chris! What a gorgeous village! You are so lucky living in such a lovely place as Devon!
I love the church, it is so quaint and also the stone wall with all the fuschias trailing over it.
I am pleased you managed to get out on a dry day! The walk would have done you good!
How I wish we didn't live so far away!
Take care xxx

Thanks for your enthusiasm! It is a lovely county to live in but this summer we have been out hardly at all because everywhere has been so crowded!
Looking forward to September.

Gosh that is so pretty , I want to move in 😁 I bet there's a queue waiting for houses to come up for sale ... we have the same problem here with tourists Chris we haven't dared to walk down to our local next to the Broad , its always crowded , hubby is only just recovering from his operation we wouldn't risk it ...
