Daylilies 4

I can’t create new daylilies without named parents, so here are some that I really like and am trying to use.
For a small DIP, there is ‘Blue Oasis’:

More complicated in the eye is ‘Painted Pattern’:

And even more broken is ‘Multiple Multipications’:

There are lots of TETs to choose from, like ‘Whale Tails’. This one does pass on the broken eye pattern easily.

I have been trying to put edges on some, and I have been trying with ‘El Aventura’. This is from my favorite European hybridizer, Armin Eder, who lives near Munich.

There several I have had only a short time and giving them a try, like ‘Starry Starry Night’:

Or ‘Bird Talk’:

And for feathered type eyes, ‘Solar Blue Angel’:

Of course, I use those that I have registered, like ’Pico Matias Simão:

Any seedling is going to be different, even when from the same cross. This is because a single grain of pollen results in each seed being formed. An example of similar, but different siblings is this cross of (Dragonfly Dawn x You Looking At Me):

When a new flower opens, you can’t always guess its parents. I took (Paco Paco x Whale Tails):

Used the pollen from (Paradise City x Dragonfly Tattoo):

And got this:

I had hoped the eye zone would be passed on, but it is a bright and eye catching flower and I am pleased with it.

Fantastic set of flowers Wylie. I'm loving 'Starry Starry Night'.

Thanks! SSN is a really nice one, and I am hoping it will pass a lot of its traits on.

Thanks! Pico Matias Simão has been a real success this year, being in bloom almost constantly in spite of the harsh conditions. On the DIP side, Neighborhood Watcher has also done really well.
