Even more Daylilies

If you are going to have spectacular new daylilies, you need to start with spectacular named varieties. So, some of the named ones I have are
‘Starry Starry Night’ (Pierce, G. 2014):

‘Multiple Multiplications’ (Lambertson, 2011):

‘Fried Rice’ (Hansen, D 2013):

‘Xylophone Jazz’ (Stamile-Pierce, 2011):

I took (Dreamy Blue Eyes x Xylophone Jazz)

Took the pollen from ‘Life is a Highway’ (Hansen, D 2010):

And the result was (Dreamy Blue Eyes x Xylophone Jazz) x Life is a Highway:

Also open today are 2 siblings of Blue Eyed Bandit x Whale Tails. It shows how different seeds in the same pod can be.

Thanks. John Cage used to be a famous mycologist and avant garde composer who once said that patience was learned waiting in lines; but if he had tried growing a couple plants from seed, he would have said that. I waited 11 years for the first flower on a Strelitzia Nicolai, and 18 years for the first orange on a tree I grew from seed.
