Exbury Nerines

Finally, the last of the Nerines I have from the Exbury Collection that put up scapes have opened. It has been a long season with some really bright stars that have held up to the weather and wind exceptionally well. So here are the ones that flowered in no reverse alphabetical order. Some are similar to others, some are very different.
‘Tutmosis’. This was the only one that didn’t put up a tall scape.

‘Troubled Dreams’. This one aged very well, and if I took the photo before the sun became too much, it showed off its wonderful, dark colors.

‘The Pharoah’. This is a coral color.

‘Tango’. This is a bright, strong orange that holds up well both during the day and through its “life”.

‘Shaka Zulu’. A dark purple.

‘Rushmere Star’. A bright Barbie pink with dark red mid-ribs.

‘Ramases’. This was the first to open and glittered with the diamond dusting effect.

‘Ra’. The last to open. A bright orange that rivals ‘Tango’.

‘Prince Valient’. I played with the backgrounds on this one a lot, and have finally chosen this jet black as the best to show off a really magnificent flower.

‘Paphos’. This shows off the diamond dusting common the many of these hybrids.

‘North Pole’. This one is a real eye catcher and the combination of light coral with white mid-rib make it one of my favorites. I chose a photo that shows the detail of an individual flower.

‘Mo Farrah’. A darker red.

Ken Scott’. Glistening in the sun.

‘Kalahari Nights’.

‘Kalahari Dusk’.

‘Hiawatha’. One of the more orange cultivars.

‘Fairy Dawn’.

‘Copperhead’.

‘Blue Magic’.

‘Amschel’. Red, but not the traditional red of many nerines. Also a photo for those who like rain drops on flowers.

‘Amethyst Delight’.

I could have grouped some together for photos like this:

And finally, just because I am thrilled that it finally opened and the scent has become stronger, that Paramongaia weberbaueri that I have on day 3:

They are all amazing. (I wouldn't have known most of them were actually Nerines if you hadn't said) Those colours simply sizzle don't they? Good thing you weren't asking us to choose a favourite!
(Hi Terra, good to see you)

Beautiful, just beautiful

Thanks! These are even better when the sun shines and they shimmer with all the diamond dusting, something hard to pick up with a camera. Since a phyto certificate is now required to import them into the EU (at £163), I can't see me buying new ones.
